Committee
The CCIS committee is responsible for ensuring the contribution of the promotion of the sectors of commerce, industry, services, crafts as well as the promotion of small trades. It works to achieve the objectives for which Chambers of Commerce and Industry are created.
The committee is made up of 30 members elected by companies in the Sfax region for a period of 5 years.
The committee must hold, when convened by its chairman, a meeting at the end of the last two months of the year; it may, if necessary, hold meetings outside these periods.
It can also meet at the request of the Minister responsible for trade or at the written request of at least one third of its members.
Bureau
The Committee elects the Bureau of the Chamber which is made up of 10 members (1 president, 5 vice-presidents, 1 secretary general, 1 assistant secretary general, 1 treasurer and 1 assistant treasurer). The office meets at least once a month.
The functions of the Bureau are to ensure the execution of the decisions of the committee, to assist the president in his functions and to give impetus to the activities of the Chamber, to prepare the draft decisions to be submitted for the approval of the committee, as well as the order the day of the committee meetings, examine the subjects to be submitted to the committee and finally, study the proposals of the commissions before their submission to the committee.
Commissions
The Committee sets up a minimum of 9 committees, including two standing committees, the finance committee and the markets committee.
