Official Launch of TECHLG Project

Participation in Kick-Off Meeting TECHLOG

For the official start of the TECHLOG project, funded by the UE, the chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax, the 7th partner in this project, participated in the meetings that were held on October 28, 2021 online via Zoom platform.

The objective of the Kick-Off Meeting was to present the project in presence of all the partners and media in order to inform the public in particular of its official launch in the participating countries: Italy, Egypt, Spain, Lebanon and Tunisia.

The objective of TECHLOG project is to transform the Mediterranean logistics in an ecological, competitive and efficient way for ports and road freight transport of merchandises, thanks to a technological transfer at an international level, from universities towards companies.

The project will come to an end in January 2024. It constitutes one of the cross-border cooperation initiatives implemented by the European Union as part of a European policy of neighboring.

The leader of the project is the University of Cagliari (Italy) and the eight partners are: the Chamber of Commerce, of Industry, of Craft and Agriculture of Maremma and Tirreno (Italy), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Egypt), European school of Short Sea Shipping (Spain) Confederation of Egyptian, European Business Associations (Egypt), The Chamber de Commerce, of Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount-Lebanon (Lebanon), Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce – Alexandria Chamber (Egypt), Chamber of Commerce et and Industry of Sfax, (Tunisia) and the University de Sfax (Tunisia).

The budget of the project is about 3.5 million euro and a 90% contribution from the European Union.
