Participation in Kick-Off Meeting ReSt@rts in Catanzaro-Italy 02 December 2021

ReSt@rts: Launch of the Project ENI CBC MED financed by the EU to promote financial access to women, youths and vulnerable groups in the Mediterranean basin.

Project ReSt@rts: Reinforce the network system of microfinance Med for start-ups.

 

For the official start of project ReSt@rts funded by the EU as part of ENI CBC MED 2014-2020 program, the chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax, partner in the project, participated in the organization of this meeting that took place on December 2 2021 in Catanzaro-Italy.

 

The speakers and participants of this launch reunion were of different profiles and expertise, professional and institutional key actors, representatives of the project implementation partners and of the ENI CBC MED Program.

 

As stated by the manager of project, Mrs. Alessandra Feola:

 “The principal objective of the project is to help in the creation of new businesses for youths and women who are generally considered as non-bankable and have difficulties accessing credit”.

The event was organized in two parts; the morning part was dedicated to the official institutional meeting and the press conference. In this part, Mrs. Ikram Makni, General Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax presented the organism and its different services she also enumerated her partnership experience in other Euro-Mediterranean projects funded by the ENI CBC Med projects such as the MEDSt@rts and TECHLOG projects.

During the second part of the event, the project implementation, the financial procedures and the communication activities were explained.

The objective of ReSt@rts is to create continuity with the previous MEDSt@rts project: with an approach inspired from the principles of ethical and solidarity finance and the public-private collaboration, with the structuring of a Marketplace platform and a technical assistance service.

The initiative, which will last 24 months, will be directed by the Arabic-Italian Chamber of Cooperation and will include as partners Calabre Region (Italy), Chamber of Commerce of Achaia (Greece), Chamber of Commerce of Sfax (Tunisia), Ager Sarl (Tunisia), LEADERS (Palestine), Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture of Sidon and of south Lebanon (Lebanon), Chamber of Commerce of Cyprus (Cyprus), Federterziario (Italy) and as associated partner the ECN European Crowd funding Network AISBL.
