Tunisian Participation in the fourth session of the Fair “Libya Construction Expo” June28-July 1, 2021
As part of implementing the program elaborated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax with Libya and which aims to re-launch and strengthen the economical relations between the two countries, the CCIS organized, between the 28 of June and the 1 of July 2021, the Tunisian participation in the fourth session of The Libyan Event of Construction “Libya construction Expo” 2021 at the international fair of Tripoli, in collaboration with the International Company of Congress and Expositions, and under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Housing and Construction of Libya, the General Federation of Chamber of Commerce, of Industry and Libyan Agriculture.
In addition to the Libyans ministers, the inauguration of the event was handled by the Tunisian ministers M.Mohamed Bou Said, minister of Trade and Export Development and minister of Interim Energy of Mines and Renewable Energies and by M.Kamal Doukh, minster of Equipment and Housing and Infrastructure in addition to S.E.M Assad Al-Ajili, ambassador of the Tunisian Republic in Tripoli and Mr. Ridha Fourati, President of the CCIS.
The program of “Libya Construction Expo 2021” concentrated on the exposition in particular; as a result the number of Tunisian exhibitors exceeded the 120 businesses operating in different sectors of construction, public works and other related sectors, over an area of 1500 m2 approximately. The Tunisian participation was distinguished in comparison to the rest of the countries, taking into consideration that the total number of exhibitors reached 270.

It is also worthy to note the significant participation of 100 engineers and architects from the Order Council of Tunisian engineers, with the aim of establishing partnership between Tunisia and Libya in the engineering sector in general, architecture, construction and related sectors in particular.
Furthermore, the sectoral forum also represented a fundamental pillar of the program of the event, in addition to the business meetings, held by the exhibitors with professionals and Libyan businessmen as well as with some Libyan municipalities representing the West of Libya.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax also held several fruitful meetings with high standing Libyan officials in order to better prepare the distinguished participation of Libya at the Mediterranean Event of Building, a guest of honor “Midibat 2021” in its extraordinary session, during which the thirtieth of this international event will be celebrated.
