2018 Economic results

2018 activities: quality and diversity.

The activities rapport carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax (CCIS) during the year of 2018 reflects the two great values that the Chamber leaders sustain and believe in: quality and diversity.

The quality requirement is in fact, nothing but a shared culture among the members of this institution (elected and administrative) and an ingrained essential value, from a long time ago, at the heart of the working strategy and of the program actions of the Chamber.

Actually, it is not by chance that in the word quality resides the secret for the success of the CCIS activities, of their greatness and of the confidence that it revels in among its Tunisian and foreigner partners.

The year 2018 was, in actual fact, a year full of activities, events and exploits. We can find well organized shows and events by the CCIS, ministerial and ambassadorial visits, foreign delegations that traveled to Sfax under the invitation of the Chamber, international business missions, training activities for the sake of businessmen and executives. Etc.

One of the highlights of this exercise, features the organization of the first Forum edition “Tunisia Business Export” on the month of November which transformed the city of Sfax, for the long of two days, into an export capital and international partnership and the first edition of the African Building Trade Show (AFRIBAT) organized on the month of May at Yaoundé (Cameroun). These two events were a real success and reflected the importance of export and of the African Continent in the strategic priorities of the Chamber.

For years, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax has turned towards Africa with the unwavering conviction that this Continent constitutes an irreversible road of cooperation, a destination for both investment and development and even for ensuring a better future for one another. All while organizing the export forum and of the AFRIBAT show, the CCIS staff started the preparation for the 15^th edition of MEDIBAT, a particular moment due to its scale and radiation.

Apart from all these events, the Chamber managed to realize a series of business missions abroad (Ex…), and to receive delegations and high standing figures (Ex...). Moreover, the Chamber being aware of the major interest that human resources assumes for both the enterprise and on a macro-economical level, remained loyal to its policy of human capital improvement and intelligence development.

Its training service is a follow up to its efforts in  several sections of the continuous training in particular that of the master of logistics and transport which the first class graduation was in 2018.
